While the swift and efficient management of defects is important, there are a number of steps during design and construction where we can help to minimise quality issues.
We are able to incorporate our knowledge of defects throughout the Design Stage to improve the buildability and usability of a house and for mixed use premises, we can highlight potential problem areas to the Construction Team and / or the end user.
During the Pre-Construction and Construction phases it is always beneficial to have an independent pair of eyes looking at the build as it progresses, as quite often a simple oversight can lead to a major problem once a property is occupied. This role does not need to be contentious, after all no management team or contractor has the intention of building in defects. However there will be occasions when due to programme pressures or coordination issues, unforeseen problems occur and additional dedicated resource is required to resolve them quickly and efficiently.
